Itinerary Quick Look

Here is a suggested itinerary. We are happy to customize a tour according to your interests and schedule.

Day 1: Shangrao Station – Gexian Village (Night Tour & Lantern Fair)
Meet your guide/driver at Shangrao High-Speed Railway Station at 14:00 (other arrival times can be arranged upon request). Depart to Gexian Village (approx. 1.5 hours drive). Upon arrival, check in and rest briefly. After dusk, begin your magical night tour. Carry a traditional lantern and stroll along the ancient streets, watching as thousands of lanterns light up the village. Enjoy the “Thousand Lanterns Fair” featuring beautifully decorated lantern displays along the river and on buildings. Overnight near Gexian Village.

Day 2: Morning Mountain Prayers – Wangxian Valley (Day & Night)
After breakfast, ascend the mountain near Gexian Village (or optionally at a nearby Taoist peak) to pray for blessings. You can light incense and enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere. Around noon, drive to Wangxian Valley (approx. 1 hour). Explore the stunning canyon village by day – walk along cliffside pathways, admire waterfalls, and see the famous stilt houses. After dinner, experience the night transformation: thousands of architectural lights turn the valley into a fairy-tale wonderland. Overnight near Wangxian Valley.

Day 3: Wangxian Valley – Sanqing Mountain – Wunuzhou
After breakfast, drive to Sanqing Mountain (approx. 1.5 hours). Take the cable car up the mountain. Sanqing Mountain is a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its Taoist culture and unique granite peaks shaped like the three Taoist divinities. Spend the morning exploring the main scenic spots: the Southern Clear Garden, Western Coast, and Sunrise Rock (weather permitting). Descend by cable car in the afternoon. Then drive to Wuyuan (approx. 1 hour) to visit Wunuzhou Resort. Here, enjoy a complimentary one-way rowboat ride (single journey, rowboat style) along the scenic waterways, passing under ancient stone bridges. Overnight in Wuyuan or near Huangling.

Day 4: Huangling Scenic Area – Complimentary Photoshoot – Departure
After breakfast, visit Huangling Scenic Area, known as the “Autumn Harvest Drying Village”. Stroll through the clifftop village with its well-preserved Huizhou-style architecture, and see the iconic “shai qiu” scenes – round bamboo baskets filled with red peppers, chrysanthemums, corn and rice drying on the rooftops. You will receive a complimentary photoshoot (simple session with a local photographer; makeup and costume styling NOT included). Feel free to explore the flower town terraces (seasonal blooms). After the tour, your driver will transfer you to Wuyuan High-Speed Railway Station after 15:00 (recommended departure time no earlier than 15:30). End of tour.
