Day 1: Arrive in Zhangjiajie
Arrive at Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport or Zhangjiajie Railway Station. Your personal driver will meet you with a name sign and transfer you to your ultra-luxury hotel in downtown Zhangjiajie. After check-in, the rest of the day is free for you to explore the city at your own pace – perhaps stroll along the lively pedestrian street or sample local Hunan cuisine. Overnight in Zhangjiajie.Day 2: Tianmen Mountain – Golden Whip Stream
After breakfast, head to Tianmen Mountain. Take the world’s longest cable car (approx. 7.5 km) up the mountain, enjoying dramatic views of sheer cliffs. Walk on the famous glass skywalk, a transparent walkway attached to the cliff face. Then visit Tianmen Cave (Heaven’s Gate), a giant natural archway in the mountain. Descend via the winding “99-Bend Road” or cable car. In the afternoon, explore Golden Whip Stream, a picturesque stream running through the forest with crystal-clear water, surrounded by towering peaks. A relaxing walk along the stream is a refreshing contrast to the mountain. Overnight in Zhangjiajie.Day 3: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (Yuanjiajie – Yangjiajie – Tianzi Mountain)
After breakfast, enter Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Visit Yuanjiajie, home to the famous “Avatar Hallelujah Mountain” (Southern Sky Column). Take the Bailong Elevator (optional, included in premium service) up the cliff. Then explore Yangjiajie, a less-crowded area with spectacular stone walls and peaks. Take a traditional “La La Ferry”, a hand-pulled wooden ferry across the river, and wander through the old town’s stone streets. Afternoon, continue to Phoenix Ancient Town (approx. 1.5 hours). Check into your premium river-view boutique homestay. As night falls, walk along the Tuojiang River, admiring the illuminated stilt houses and bridges. Overnight in Phoenix Ancient Town.Day 5: Phoenix Ancient Town – Departure (Airport / Railway Station Transfer)
Enjoy a leisurely morning in Phoenix Ancient Town. After breakfast, you may visit Hongqiao Bridge and Shen Congwen’s former residence. At the scheduled time, your driver will transfer you to the nearest airport or railway station (e.g., Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport, Tongren Fenghuang Airport, or Huaihua South Railway Station) for your departure.
